In British Columbia a Certificate of Divorce is the only proof provided by the court that the divorce is final. A divorce is automatically final 31 days after it is granted if no appeal is filed. Once the divorce is final you may obtain a Certificate of Divorce by filing a Requisition and a copy of your divorce order with the court where the divorce was granted. The court charges a fee of $31.00 per Certificate of Divorce.
